Negroni
Picture this: The year is 1919. You’re sitting at Caffè Casoni in Florence and in strolls Count Camillo Negroni. He wanted something a little different from his Americano cocktail, so me calls over the bartender and asks for an Americano, but hold the Soda Water and add some Gin. It was a hit, and the Negroni was born! At least that is how it is roumered that it was born.
Ingredients
30ml Drifters End Distilling Company Australian Pink Gin
30ml Sweet Vermouth
30ml Campari
Ice Ball
Garnish: Orange Slice
Method
1. Add the Australian Pink Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Campari into a shaker filled with ice.
2. Either stir with a long spoon or close and shake for around 20 seconds.
3. Place a large ice ball into the tumbler
4. Strain the stirred mixture into the tumbler
5. Garnish with a slice of orange
Interseting tip: if you want something smokey, use a glass smoker for a nice smoked negroni.
